Final Expenses and SIDS Research.

This is a fund for our 1 month old son, Perseus (Percy), that has tragically passed away from SIDS/respiratory problems.

He was born October 12 and passed away on November 18, 2015.

We can't even begin to describe the pain of the loss we've experienced.

SIDS can affect any infant and is unexpected and sudden. It affects apparently healthy babies and is, to date, unpreventable and much about it is unknown.

Percy had no known health problems and seemed to be a happy, healthy baby. He was 5 weeks old and it came as a complete shock to us.

During pregnancy, my wife had to have 3 surgeries for kidney stones and therefore was on a lot of medications and bed rest. After a difficult pregnancy, we felt blessed to have him, and seemingly so healthy despite everything.

He leaves behind 3 siblings, Stormy-12, Dusty- 10, and Leo almost 2. His loss has greatly affected them, who were all looking forward to spending time and playing with their new little brother. It has been the worst on our youngest, whom doesn't completely understand what's happened, only that he doesn't know where his little brother is. That's made it especially difficult for us because we can't really explain it to him, being so young right now.

We are trying to gather funds to help cover his funeral expenses and to make a memorial for him and make a donation to SIDS research. If our loss can help prevent another loss in anyway, then we are wanting to help with that.

Losing a child in any way, especially unexpectedly, is the hardest and most painful experience any family can deal with.
