Sandbox Percussion Summer Seminar in NYC

Hello! My name is Jacob, and I have recently been accepted to the Sandbox Percussion Summer Seminar! This event is held annually in New York City by the GRAMMY-nominated percussion quartet, Sandbox Percussion . For a week during mid-June, I will travel to New York to study with the members of Sandbox in coaching sessions, masterclasses, and performances.

Specifically, I was accepted to the Chamber Music Intensive portion of their seminar. This program simulates the experience of having your own percussion quartet comprised of your peers. I will be placed into a chamber group with other members attending, and receive intense daily coaching from the members of Sandbox Percussion. This week of intense study will culminate in a marathon public performance on Tuesday, June 18th. This year, there will be an additional performance at Biophony in New York City.

Attending the Sandbox Percussion Summer Seminar would be an incredible step for me to pursue my future as a professional music performer and educator. The experiences and connections gained will be invaluable. Any and all financial support will be greatly appreciated.

The funds requested would be used specifically to cover the payments required for tuition, housing, and travel for the event.
