Dear Per-Christian Tonning Choe’s community,
I am so humbled by the outpouring of support from the Bellevue community and beyond. I see so many names that I recognize-students, parents, friends, family, and even strangers to me. This is so heartwarming and appreciated. I want to assure all who are contributing to this fund that you have an idea of how I presently plan to use this money. First and foremost, the money will cover costs to lovingly and respectfully lay Christian to rest in perfect peace. I will also use this for my own mental health and healing. Additionally, a park bench application is in the works through the city of Bellevue in Per-Christian’s name. I also plan to renew my Seattle Sounders season tickets (something Christian and I did every year) for two and take one of Christian’s friends to each match in his honor. Last, there are incredibly huge changes that will inevitably be happening down the road for me as I slowly heal and create my next phase of life with Christian by my side in a new capacity. I just want to inform you that the use of these donations will be well thought out. I cannot express how much I appreciate the kindness and love that continues to come our way. Christian was, and will always be, well loved. Although he may not have been fully aware of this, we have the capacity to continue to make our community aware of his impact in this world. I will make sure this happens.
With heartfelt love and deep appreciation,
Kirsten Tonning (Christian’s mother)
This fundraiser to honor and remember a bright young man who has left this world too soon. Christian was a beloved son, brother, friend, student and mentor. He had a heart of gold, always ready to help those in need.
Our goal is to ease the burden. Please contribute to this fundraiser to expenses that will assist his family in navigating through this difficult time. Every bit of support is deeply appreciated and your generosity can make a significant impact during this challenging time.
Thank you.
