update: 8/20/22- Peppers right Paw/leg is 100% PARALYZED as of today. She has no use of her wrist down to paw, little to no feeling. - From 7/18/22 to the end of July the focus was to heal the OPEN WOUND caused by Dr. Daniel Sosa of BOCA PALMS ANOMAL HOSPITAL - he Neglected to check her casting correctly and she started showing signs of distress after her 7/5/22 cast change, I called and showed up THREE TIMES that Week! 

Monday 7/11- they sent me home-Wednesday 7/13- for a schedule cast/ bandage change - where he told me “she looks great and is healing great” 

Friday 7/15/22 - not even 48hours into a new cast change was I alarmed with blood (which mind you, she had no cuts from her original break)And a smell ! It was after 6pm when Dr. SOSA came to showed me HIS PHONE with the photo of the wound & looked at me & said “good call that you brought her in” (Photo attached) I was like “what?? I was just here 2 days ago & on Monday :(((!!!!”

 They proceeded to charge me $260.00 for that visit, and the front desk Manager Marcie said “ well Nicole he just spent 30minutes cleaning that wound and re wrapping her, yes, you have to pay” 

 Monday 7/18/22- I went to a different vet. Who X-rayed her for a normal fee of $175 (versus $495 the Dr Sosa charges for a series that didn’t even include a X-ray of after he “set and wrapped her” on 6/10/22) 

The new vets xray literally UNCOVERed to show the wrong bones connecting to each other. Her Radial was growing together with her Ulna and the other end to those bones are connected to Nothing!!! :(( - 

that’s because he NEVER SET HER or reset her -complete malice. Because I paid in full for his services PRIOR to service, left and returned to pick up a couple hours later “fixed” -  & Dr. Sosa allowed me to have her walk on it, put pressure, and even worse over the 1st couple Wks encourage leash walking  :(. 

 the X-ray revealed 5WEEKS worth healing of the wrong bones attaching to each other!! Dr. Sosa knew what he did, or should I say didn’t do, and at my 1st follow up visits and every visit there after persuaded me away from getting a re-check X-rays, saying “he was trying to save me $$” and he would show me hand gestures of him checking her leg and said it looked great, she looks great, my cast is so clean”  

Oh yes. I have highly documented this every move bc I had made it highly publicized the moment I decided to start the GOFUNDME! - the website where you can ask strangers for $$!!! You’re Damnnnn right, everything is documented. So. Poor BOCA PALMS ANIMAL HOSPITAL. You will be found out. 

Peppers leg is so GROSSLY DEFORMED. - 

a 5 year old could touch and feel the gross Protrusion on the bottom and indentation on the top. :(((((. 

 The Surgeon on 7/18/22, told me Its too late to do surgery. If she can’t use it we would most likely be amputation It took me 15 days to heal the Open wound that was down to bones/ligament/muscle  During that time I reached out to professionals for recommendations 8/9/22- I was lead to  Orthopedic Specialist that CAN do reconstructive surgery-  

Will cost $4500 - $5100. .

I just don’t want to get anyone confused with the names, so I’m only writing the BAD VET BOCA PALMS ANIMAL HOSPITAL off Dixie Road in Boca Raton (next to camp bow wow)

 So, Today, 8/20/22- I am trying Raise the $$   for surgery ASAP  - the longer it heals badly deformed, the more difficult the surgery becomes and her healing process.   

Also, I am an entrepreneur in the city of Boca Raton, Palm Beach, Broward and Miami. I private pet sitter in the community and Pepper is a Service Dog

I have and I’m still in the process contacting the proper authorities …. As you can imagine, I have a Service Dog for handicap not visible to the eye, this is why my post since 7/18/22 have been Sporadic and well…All all over the place.   this is beyond overwhelmingly because she is my heart.  My reason - My Why for greeting the sun in the morning,  She’s just turned 3 years old. Her job is me. It definitely changes their trajectory of her life right now and the original outcome that was suppose to be completed and healed by now.  

I am doing the best I can to navigate and pursue a way to fix my beautiful sweet Bell Pepper,

ORIGINAL STORY WRITTEN -below-6/11/22

Hi, my name is PEPPER, Onxy Pepper Piccola for long & Peppy or Pep for short. I live in the FloridaSunshine State and my Favvvv past time is to chase little geckos around for hours, I mean it’s endless fun.

 

Yesterday 6/10/2022, I had an bad accident & lizard chasing is NOT in my near future . I jumped off the table in excitement and on to concrete to see my favorite Aunties (I have a few <3) Lets just say it didn’t go so well & momma immediately rushed me to the emergency room.

 

Prognosis: Clean transverse break to my Right Front Leg Radius & Ulna Fracture

 

Mommy says as quick as she go me to the Hospital was as quick as the bill went up, and we are not prepared for because Moms been traveling for emergency to help family,  $o now, we are here @ gofundme humbly asking for any and all help to get me back to hunting

 

We are seeking funds, donations or offering to help out for the Emergency Bill accrued ($1600) & the next 6WEEKS of care. Dr Sosa, of Boca Palms Animal Hospital is a VERY Good and a complete Vet. We are extremely grateful, he was in office and we went right to him because Mom called around and we probably would of had double the bill because most Hospital/Offices send you to a specialist after you visit the ER and luckily  Dr. Sosa, is a one stop, can do it ALL Vet.

He also took Very good care of BellaMiaPrincipessa, my predecessor, and we have sent many other pawients their way. It’s comforting not to worry about the care Pepper will receive.

 

at this point we are looking at:

•emergency bill

•weekly visits (7-10days)

•change cast weekly (7-10days)

•2-3 additional radiology X-rays to check healing & progress, + final

•medications

•physical therapy to rehab after cast is removed

•Diet and Supplements to help w healing and support
