Pepper is my parents' (David and Maylin) 3-year-old male cat who recently had to get admitted to an emergency vet hospital yesterday due to an upper respiratory infection. Pepper wasn't eating or drinking like normal and also had a fever. The vet gave him medication and fluids and had him stay for a night to monitor him.

This morning, Pepper still wasn't eating or drinking and now wasn't using the bathroom either. The vet decided to have him stay another night to continue to monitor him. As every pet owner knows, vet medical bills start racking up and can get very expensive, especially ER ones.

My parents are and always have been very hard workers. However, a few months ago, a family member was also admitted to the ER for a few days and their medical bills and future doctor appointment bills have been racking up as well, making money a bit tight for them.
