If anyone knows Pepper, she is a very friendly and playful shit-zu. She always want someone to play with her by bringing her toy to your feet. Just a few weeks ago, Pepper was crying and I didn't know why she was crying. I thought she sprained her neck. I took her to the Vet for an examination.
On September 11, 2019, the result came back and she was diagnosed with Thyroid Cancer. The cancer had spread to her lymph nodes and the side of her neck. Just putting my hand under her neck, I can feel around 4 tumors. Pepper had loss weight and refused to eat due to the pain. The Vet had prescribe Buprenex, Metacam, and Appetite Stimulant for her. At least, Pepper is feeling comfortable after taking these medication and willing to eat a little bit. I took her to the West Los Angeles Animal Hospital for consultation and scheduled for CT scan to see if there is any other tumor spread in her body. The radiation doctor had mentioned that the tumors will not be surgically remove. Her treatment procedure will be radiation/chemo.
I love her very much, I will do what I can to extend her life with the treatment. So far just Vet visits, Ultrasound, and coming up CT scan had cost $4500, and the treatment haven't started yet. Roughly the cancer treatment will cost around $10,000 not including additional medication cost. The funds will be used towards her cancer treatment.
Anyone who knows me knows I love pets, especially dogs. I have four babies and they are my preciousness. Pepper is the Diva of the four. Her attitude is just so adorable by acting like a Diva and always trying to get your attention. But now she just look sad all the time. I will do what I can to save her life. I hope you all can help me in extending her life.
