Pepper the Former Feral Needs Help

Pepper was born feral to a feral mom and feral dad in mid February 2023. His mom was a great teacher and her first lesson was that all humans are bad and he's to stay away from them at all costs.

I caught him in a live trap in early October 2023. He fought valiantly but his hunger soon won him over. It took my son less than a week to turn him into a lap cat.

A week ago my son noticed a lump on Pepper's chest, between his legs. On closer feel there were two lumps. The next day we shaved the patch where the lumps are. One of the lumps has divided so now there are three.

Pepper needs to see a vet and have tests done. They'll need to do a fine needle aspirate of the lumps.

Best result is that it's an abscess or lipomas and they can see those results in house.

Worst result is that they find abnormal/cancerous cells and have to send out for more detailed testing.

I am on disability and my son's job is having a slow down and he's only getting one shift a week. We don't have the $350+ meds that the 'best result' would incur. If they have to send out for testing it would be an additional $250+meds and future treatment.

Pepper is a young cat in his prime. He was destined for the feral life but he knew a good thing when he got trapped in it and he has never looked back.

Pepper is the kind of cat that makes you believe in reincarnation. He is an actor, a comedian, an exceptional gaslighter, and truly seems to understand what you're saying to him. Watch the video and you'll see what I mean.

He was given a second chance when he walked into that live trap. I'm asking for your help to give him a third chance. If any cat ever deserved it, Pepper does.
