Our friend Jessica recently suffered one of those random and terrifying events that make you pull your loved ones close. Adding on to that, she is halfway through her Master’s degree in counseling and had to recently leave her full-time job helping developmentally challenged children so she could begin her degree’s required internship. Then, on September 17th, 2022, while working on her grad school coursework despite a progressively worsening headache, her speech and writing began to detoriate until she knew she needed to go to the hospital with the help of her roommates. Thankfully, the ER quickly recognized her symptoms and went into action. She was stabilized, transferred to the best hospital for her condition, and given life-saving medication. She's still in the hospital as she recovers, while they attempt to determine the cause of her bleeding.
It’s honestly been the best-case scenario for our girl who's now demanding we don’t cancel her hair appointment for the Wednesday after all this. But she’s still in a tight spot. Graduate students working a full-time internship don’t get health insurance and medical debt can just as easily cause tragedy. So please help our friend Jessica. We love her so much and every little bit helps in covering her hospital bills and supporting her recovery.
