Pepito’s journey began in September 2024, when he was rescued in one of the most devastating conditions imaginable. His tiny body was ravaged by scabies, malnourished, and worst of all, burned with hot oil. Yes — someone poured hot oil on him, following a cruel local myth that it would "cure" his scabies. Instead, it left him with unimaginable pain and trauma.
He was rushed to the vet in critical condition. Though his scabies slowly began to improve, Pepito’s health was fragile. He had good and bad days, but he never gave up.
Thanks to the help of a kind friend, I was able to place him in a temporary home where he had food, safety, and warmth — something he had never experienced before. But despite months of vet visits and care, his condition began to worsen. He stopped cleaning himself, smelled of infection, and lost his appetite. I rushed him to another clinic, where he stayed a week for recovery.
After running all necessary tests and confirming he was stable, the vets decided the next step was a full dental extraction, as his teeth were severely infected and causing him pain. But during the final stages of the procedure, Pepito’s heart gave out. He had a heart attack and crossed the rainbow bridge.
I am heartbroken. I’m still grieving, still crying… and the final vet bill has already arrived. I don’t have the funds to cover it, and it breaks my heart even more — knowing I tried everything to give him a second chance, and now I can’t even close his chapter without stress.
Please, if you can help me cover Pepito’s final vet bill, it would mean the world to me. Let’s honor him — his strength, his resilience, and his will to live — one last time. Any donation, no matter the size, will go directly to covering the cost of his care.
Pepito may be in heaven now, but he deserves peace — and so do those who tried to save him.
With love and so much pain and sadness.
