Hello, my name is Paul Lange, and I have been a storyteller in one form or another pretty much most of my life. Three years ago, inspiration overwhelmed me! I thought it would be a cool idea to create a coffee table book that allowed visitors to connect with this amazing community of people I was meeting while working in the wine industry. I decided that I wanted the stories to capture the spirit of a person! My goal was to engender a personal connection between the reader and the person I was writing about.
For just under a year, I studied photography before I interviewed anyone. I wanted the photos to be just as good as the stories. I then reflected on the types of questions I wanted to ask and began connecting to our community.
Here I am, 2 years later, and my dream of creating this book is within reach. I have had the greatest honor to connect with and get to know a wonderful group of people working and living in wine country. To be honest, the stories have turned out to be far more inspirational and enriching than I ever could have imagined. People need to read this book, as I wholeheartedly believe in the power of personal stories making a positive impact in a reader’s life.
The first step in making this book a reality is to create the necessary marketing materials to generate enough ‘pre-sales’. Pre-sales are how I intend to pay for my initial print run. Jenkins Group Inc. is the publishing company that I will be working with. The costs for the initial marketing materials to help sell the book is $3900. For this money, Jenkins Group will design the cover and create 10 “mini-books” that will include 4 people’s stories and photos. This will allow businesses to see the quality of what the book will look like and read a handful of stories. They will also take care of the interior graphic design and write my sales letter, sales sheet, and order forms.
Your donation will go to these initial costs. Any additional monies that are raised will go directly towards printing costs. From the bottom of my heart, thank you SO very much for your contribution. I am deeply appreciative for all of you.
My goal is to get this book into every luxury hotel and winery throughout wine country. It will include 30+ people and will be the perfect book to connect others to our amazing community.
