The city of Beirut has existed since before Roman times as a vibrant urban center on the Eastern Mediterranean Sea. Over the past century, it had been a center of finance, high education, art, & culture.



The recent explosion is one of the most intense ones since WWII. No human being deserves to live through such a horrific event.

 

The city now is burdened with around 300,000 homeless inhabitants, thousands of injured (many horrifically due to glass shards), and hundreds of dead. The city needs an enormous amount of aid just to stay alive.

 

Our campaign is a helping hand from one group of human beings here in the US toward another group of beleaguered human beings in Beirut.

 

We are in direct touch with a trusted party on the ground in Beirut, which will deliver all funds directly to the hands of the newly homeless on the ground.
