People for the Poor helps soup kitchens and homeless shelters in the South Jersey area.
1 Soup kitchen feeds over 550 people a day, we help 4 soup kitchens and 6 homeless shelters at the present.
It's hard when you see a man or a Women with nothing to eat, but a child.......
The stories over the past 11 years are hard to beleive that this is happening right in our own back yards, right in the USof A. One of the homeless shelters is the Home of the Brave for Homeless Veterans. Hard to beleive? They fight for you, and now they have nothing.
We are a non profit 501(c)3 which means your donations are tax deductable and we are also a non for profit which means, 100% of all donations go to the poorest of the poor, those who have nothing to eat and no where to sleep.
Today, most of us will go in the refrig and pick out whatever we want to eat or stop and get our coffee in the morning or a snack. We'll also at night get into our nice cozy warm beds for a good night sleep.
But for those who have nothing, it's what ever they are serving at the soup kitchen again or hopefully there is a bed left at one of the homeless shelters for them to catch up on thier sleep.
Not only will you be helping others, but how good you'll feel by knowing you helped someone get a meal today and a place to sleep.
