“UPDATE”
Do you want to join me in making a difference?
I'm raising money in aid of Motor Neurone Disease Association and I am currently walking from lands end to John o groats which is 1.8 million steps whilst currently serving time in prison , I get 1-2 hours a day around our running track and started this journey on the 8th March 2024 having lost my dear brother to this horrible disease , I have set a goal of 6months to complete this journey and I have already completed 104 miles which has taken me from lands end to okehampton which is 222,604 steps .since leaving okehampton I am now currently 413.315 steps into the journey which has now brought me to Weston supermare and I will hopefully be in Bristol shortly ( 15/04/24)
”UPDATE” (28/05/24)
I have passed the 1 million steps milestone !!
after leaving Bristol I traveled through Hereford, Shrewsbury ,up to Preston and through Windermere and Penrith and I am currently on the way to Gretna !!
shrewsbury to Windermere was a challenge as a previous injury raised its ugly head and slowed me right down ,
I can see the finish line now and all your support so far has driven me on so a massive thank you again from me and I look forward to updating again soon x
”UPDATE” (28/06/24)
wow since my last update I have now completed 1,680,000 **steps which has taken me within touching distance of the finish line !!having set off from Gretna I have passed through peebles then into Edinburgh onto Perth then through a town called Blair atholl and aviemore and I currently on my way to Inverness !!
once I reach my goal I would of done equivalent to over 33 london marathons in steps which shocked even myself lol I must admit the last few weeks have been very tough with the heat wave and current temperatures we are having but knowing the amazing support I am receiving on the outside and the amazing MND charity I hold so dearly to my heart has driven me on to get to where I am on the map , it’s taken alot out of these old legs but I will finish it on crutches if I have too lol !! I am asking for one last push to see if I can reach my goal of £1000 and I will look forward to the finish line update very soon!!
