Peony’s Grad Application Fund
Donation protected
I have known Sopheany for 8+ years. While being a part of her life, I have known her to be super goal orientated. No matter what she does -whether it is school, work, APO, or research - Sopheany has always made sure to give 110% of her effort to complete any task at hand. An example of this was present while she was an Undergrad at UB, where she was not exactly sure which major she wanted to do. Even after a couple of major switches, she found a way to graduate on time and with a double major.
She has since realized that she has a passion for public health. And as a first-generation college graduate, she is looking to continue her education. She is hoping to receive a master's degree in public health to learn how to implement prevention and intervention programs aimed at improving community health and well-being. Due to COVID, graduate programs are receiving a record number of applications. Because it is highly competitive this year, prospective students are urged to apply to as many schools as possible (~10-12 schools) to increase the chances of getting in. Public health is more expensive relative to other programs because it requires prospective students to use a centralized application portal (paying a large upfront fee followed by additional application fees per school), but also having to pay separate application fees to the university itself.
Please consider help supporting Sopheany achieve her goal of getting into graduate school by making a donation toward her application fees.
