Pensione Imma Animal Sanctuary

Corrado and Abraham run an animal sanctuary just outside the town of Pachino,  Sicily,  where they taken in and care for stray animals. Mostly dogs that have been abandoned, but also cats and goats and they even have a pig! They finance the sanctuary though public donations and also by what money they earn from the pet store they own as well as by boarding pets while their families are away. 

Taking care of these animals isn’t cheap. Recently they took in a new dog who needed over a hundred euros for antibiotics that they paid for themselves. Unlike big charities like the Red Cross or the HRC, these guys aren’t getting rich off what they’re doing.  They get up at dawn to feed, clean and care for the animals and then they go to work at the pet shop all day.  On their breaks they run errands, take in new animals and get supplies.  These guys have dedicated their lives to helping these animals and I’d like to help them out as well. We’ve started a collection to try and raise some money for their animal sanctuary.
