Penrhyn Bay Memorial Appeal
Spende geschützt
In this, the 80th year since the end of the Second World War, please help raise £2000 for a memorial plaque dedicated to the Penrhyn Bay servicemen who died in the Second World War.
Eleven men from the Penrhyn Bay community died including the village butcher and policeman and their loss would have been felt keenly not only by their families, but by the entire community. Six served with the British Army, four with the Royal Air Force and one in the Merchant Navy.
The memorial will be placed at Mountbatten Green, Penrhyn Bay, and take the form of a large rock, with a bilingual memorial plaque mounted upon it. The immediate surrounding area will be planted with shrubs and an information board placed nearby.
