Penny’s treatment
Donation protected
On Thursday August 7th, I came home from my MRI clinical to find that Penny was not able to walk. I am raising money to help pay for her treatments. I’m not sure what the costs are going to be...
She was seen at Penn Vet emergency hospital and diagnosed with a slipped vertebral disc. She has major deficits on the left side, the side with her good arm, but she does have sensation. After a long talk with the vet, we decided to see if she has any improvement with medications and strict cage rest. If she has no improvements or gets worse, she has to been seen again, require an MRI, and in that case most likely emergency surgery to decompress and impinging on her spinal cord.
It can go either way at this point.
Best case scenario: medications, strict cage rest for 2 months, and physical therapy
Worst case scenario: all of the above and major surgery.
Penny has been more than an incredible dog. She is family. She came into my job as a feisty homeless puppy and hasn’t slowed down since. She’s already only working with three legs, but has managed to raise THOUSANDS OF DOLLARS for many charity walks including WalkMS and Walk to end Alzheimer’s. Her give it all attitude has been inspiring to so many!
Please help return her good deeds. Let’s get her fundraiser going and raise her the money she’s raised for everyone else!
I don’t know what else to do since most of you know I’m back in school and not working much. I’m begging you to help us. PLEASE REMEMBER I have always been there to help with your fur babies... now I’m the one who needs the help. Please share and donate what you can. THANK YOU SO MUCH!
