Penny’s Car
Donation protected
Hello everyone, I’m fundraising for Penny. Blessings abound! Penny loves her new car! It was delivered (updated November 13, 2023) but our work is not finished. We still have to raise the remainder of the funds. Reminder, any amount over and above our goal will go directly to Penny and her family to cover insurance costs, groceries, next month’s rent, or any other upcoming bills she has due!
I will let her tell of the story…
“I am 61 years old and I have my 12 year old granddaughter living with me. I moved to Madison, GA almost 3 years ago with my son, my dad and myself. Everything was going good, we split everything 3 ways - rent, utilities and food. About a week after we moved here my son got custody of my granddaughter, Mariah, and she moved in with us. Unfortunately, he is now incarcerated so we went from 3 to 2 incomes. Then, seven months ago my father passed away. Now I only have my income. I had to stop working overnights and go to days so I could be home with Mariah at night. I took a huge cut in pay going to days so now I struggle every month paying my rent, utilities, food etc. On the 20th of October I had a bad wreck in my car and was extremely lucky to walk away with a few cuts and bruises. What happened was it was morning, raining and I hit a water puddle and began to hydroplane. Then I went off the road, flipped four times and went down an 8-foot embankment. Police thought I was dead or in bad shape but they carried me out with just bruises - God is good, all the time! Now I'm without transportation to my doctor, work and getting my granddaughter to and from school and her doctor visits. Anything anyone can give to help me would be greatly appreciated! Thank you and praise God for his provisions.”
