Penny Loafers 2025 Album

Hello everyone! We are getting to the final stages of finishing up our 2025 album - but we need your help!

For those of you who are not familiar with our group, we are the University of Pennsylvania Penny Loafers, an all-gender indie-pop a cappella group founded in 1986. We also compete at the International Championship of A Cappella and were semifinalists in 2024.

We have been making albums as a group since the 1990s and continue this tradition today. Every two years, as a way to celebrate and commemorate our upperclassmen's time in the group, our juniors and seniors record a song from one of their semesters during their time in Loaf.

Recording our songs is one of the most special parts of Loaf because it allows our music to live on far longer than just our four years of college. In addition to representing this class of Loafers and the University of Pennsylvania at large, we hope that our upcoming album can achieve some national recognition among the a cappella community.

Why do we need your support!?

We are a mostly student-funded group with many costs throughout each year. Though we work hard to save for our album cycles, they’re very expensive and we still need as much help as we can get!

What will your money go toward?

Recording, editing, and mastering a full-length album costs upwards of $12,000, not even including the distributor, promotional, and other miscellaneous fees. While we've covered a portion of those costs from our shows and gigs, we still need some help from you - our incredible friends, family, alumni, and fans!
