Pennine Way in memory of Dorothy

First of all, I want to make it really clear that I’m NOT looking to be sponsored to walk the Pennine Way. Taking a month off to go for a nice walk in the wilderness by myself is probably the most self-indulgent thing I’ve ever done. I am asking for donations for two specific sections of the walk, which I will be doing in fancy dress, in accordance with the National Trail 100 Mile Marker Fancy Dress Tradition that I have written more about as an Update for those that are interested or are procrastinating.
I am asking for donations to Many Tears, an animal rescue based in Wales, rehoming dogs and other animals all over the UK. It is the charity that brought Dorothy and I together for almost 8 years of the most wonderful adventures. Dorothy was my soul mate, my best buddy and my shadow and I miss her ALL the time. I’m not going to adopt another dog for a while yet because I have a few solo adventures planned so I would like to raise some money to support dogs and other animals that have ended up in rescue, for whatever reason. And please, if you are thinking about getting a new pet, ADOPT DON’T SHOP!
