On July 23rd, Patti was admitted to the hospital after some long-term health struggles and a very concerning MRI.
A few days have passed now, and we've learned that those concerning results were actually lesions on the brain, no less than eight in number, and that these invaders metastasized from another larger tumor somewhere else in her body.
The word everyone dreads has been spoken: Cancer. Our next step is to find the source of it, biopsy it to figure out what kind of treatment to pursue, and then fight like hell. But Patti needs help, and hope.
In light of receiving this challenging and unanticipated diagnosis, Patti is obviously no longer able to work, resulting in a significant decrease in our already meager income. We'd like to get a head start before the big medical bills come rolling in and build a small safety net of money to live off of while we are dealing with this family tragedy.
