Penguin Empire Robotics for Houston World Champs!

Penguin Empire is a FIRST Robotics team based at San Marin High School in Novato, California. Established in 2007, we are a group of dedicated high school students who design, build, and program robots that compete in competitions on a global scale. Our team has won multiple awards, including the Sacramento Regional Innovation in Control Award, the Creativity Award for both the 2022 San Francisco and Sacramento Regionals, and placed second in the 2017 CalGames competition. Last season, we reached the semifinals at the San Francisco and Sacramento regionals, as well as this season at the 2023 Central Valley Regional. A few years ago, we won the FRC raffle and competed at the 2019 FIRST Championship in Houston.

Last weekend, we individually placed 4th out of 46 teams and ended as finalists at the Sacramento Regional. Since our alliance received 2nd place, we earned ourselves a spot at the FRC Houston World Championships from April 19th to 22nd! This is the first time in our club's history that we have obtained a spot in the World Championship based on team merit.

Our goal is to raise $25,000 to support our team with this amazing opportunity. Donations will go towards competition registration fees (approx. $8,000), transportation fees, accommodations, and food (approx. $2,000 per person for around 25 members)

Over the past few months, our dedicated members have spent over 300 hours building our robot and everyone has worked incredibly hard throughout this season. We are all very proud of our team members, parent volunteers, and mentors who have worked to make this possible. We are excited to have the chance to attend Houston Worlds and hope that you can help us fulfill our goal!
