Penge East Station Cat Memorial in Bronze

Donation protected
Let's get a commemorative statue for Lily, the Penge East station cat.

Lily was a quirky, independent feline who touched the hearts of many. Without sounding too ridiculous, we think she symbolised our sense of fun, community and provided a bit of familiar comfort and affection before and after our travels.

In discussion with many, we think it would be lovely to remember Lily with a little bronze statue at the station, something that would bring us a smile and kids could pat and say hello to. We are organising a commission with a young artist who makes bronze sculptures, she used to live with us and knew Lily well. She is giving her time freely.

We already have lots of support from so many Penge people, station staff and local councillors.

We're selling Lily Penge East Station Cat 2021  A5 desk calendars for £10 (excluding postage). We can deliver locally for free. Please message us through the Go Fund 'contact' organiser link with how many you want, your address and delivery preference. You can also buy in cash from the Blue Belle café in Maple Road, Penge SE20.

Any funds left over will be contributed to Celia Hammond’s cat rescue charity. That’s where we first met Lily.

Thank you, Helen
