Hi everyone,
I know many of you have been wondering where Penelope, Saeng, and I have been.
On August 30th, Penelope began showing signs of seizures, and we rushed her to the hospital. After many tests, we learned that she has autoimmune encephalopathy, a rare condition. At first, we weren’t ready to share, as we were unsure what the future might hold for her.
Penelope is now at Seattle Children’s Hospital, working hard on her recovery and beginning inpatient rehabilitation. She will need to relearn how to walk, talk, and take care of herself again. She has a long road ahead of her and will be here for quite some time, but we are so grateful for the strength she continues to show each day.
We truly appreciate all the support, thoughtful gifts, and kind words that so many of you have shared with us. It means the world to our family.
For those asking how they can support Penelope:
* Cards and pictures: She loves receiving cards and photos to add to her picture album.
* Her favorite things: She’s especially fond of Stitch, Roblox, and Zombies 4.
* Donations: If you’d like to support her in another way, all funds will be deposited directly into her personal bank account to be saved for her. I will continue to update this page regularly so everyone can follow along with her progress and recovery.
As you know, Penelope is full of sass, spunk, and spirit qualities that are helping her fight through this challenge every day.
You’re welcome to send cards and well wishes to:

Thank you all for surrounding Penelope with so much love and encouragement as she takes on this journey.
