As im sure you’re aware the gorgeous Penelope Hope Dunn very sadly passed away 06-07-26 22:30pm. She has been the absolute best fighter throughout her hospital stay, even if doctors say she has been poorly since Christmas. She is forever loved and will be always in our thoughts. Rest well angel girl ❤️

am organising this fundraiser on behalf of my close friends, Courtney and Tom, whose world has been turned upside down.

Their beautiful little girl, Penny, is currently in intensive care, fighting for her life after being diagnosed with bilateral cardiomyopathy. She is being kept alive by a specialist machine that is doing the work of her heart while her family and medical team hope for the best possible outcome.

Sadly, this machine can only be used for a limited time. Penny has already spent two precious days on it, leaving just days for doctors to determine what comes next.

The heartbreaking reality is that Penny is not currently eligible for a heart transplant because of the complexity of her condition. There are significant concerns that her illness may be genetic, meaning that even with a new heart, there is a possibility it would not survive. Her family are now living each day hoping and praying for the miracle that every parent dreams of.

As you can imagine, Courtney and Tom have not left Penny’s side. Her little brother, Bobby, her Nana Vicky and her whole family are also navigating an incredibly difficult and uncertain time. Right now, being together as a family is all that matters.

The money raised will help ease the financial pressure while they focus entirely on Penny. It will go towards lost income while Courtney and Tom are unable to work, travel to and from the hospital, parking, meals, and, if Penny needs to be transferred to a specialist centre such as one in London, accommodation and any additional expenses that come with being away from home for an extended period.

No parent should have to worry about finances while their child is fighting for their life.
