Hello everyone, my name is Walter, I'm an 8 year Military Veteran.  I live on my own, try to live life positively, and to the fullest.

I have recently come to find that due to my back condition (greater details to follow), I will be out of work for at least the next 6 months, if not longer. I have applied for temporary disability, and a leave of absence from work; however, even with the dozens of phone calls I've made it's been a struggle to get any movement on those requests. I'm now at a desperate point, where all that I had saved is spent, and there aren't any avenues I haven't exhausted.

I suffer from having a slipped disk that is nearly 50% separated from normal alignment (L5-S1 spondylolisthesis with bilateral foramenal stenosis), and will have to have fusion and decompression surgery, and rods and pins placed in my lower back.

I feel awkward making this post but my options, much like my funds, have run dry. I have rent, food, phone, and other such bills that need to be paid; some of which are already overdue (including my insurance co-pay).  I have no idea when or even if my requests will be approved. The funds gained from this will help keep me in my home, and fed while I get through these next several months.

Lastly, to explain the photo used, I do not think myself very photogenic. While that may seem petty, my face not being on the forefront of my request is one of the few things I can at least confidently control at this stage.
