Support for Catherine's family

Dear Friends,

As most of you know, our dear friend and Sangha sister Catherine Duffy passed unexpectedly and suddenly last week due to a tragic accident in her home in France. While many of us are shocked and grieving, her beloved sons Oran and Alan, and Oran’s dad Ron, are especially suffering at this time. We would like to lift one burden by supporting their financial needs.

The funds we raise will go towards costs incurred over the following month, which will include flights for Oran and Ron from Ireland to France and accommodation while organising all the necessary tasks in France, and also helping towards fees associated these tasks - we know, for example, that the cremation fees alone will be over €3000.

We especially want to make it possible for Oran's beloved dog Karuna to return to Ireland to support Oran during this heart-breaking time, which will include vet fees, organising transport and fees for the ferry. We feel that this would be Catherine's highest priority.

Catherine put her whole heart and trust in the Sangha, and we would like to honour this trust by supporting her family at this time. Any contribution, big or small, will be received with our humble gratitude.
