I adopted Nutmeg about 2.5 years ago.  She is a 3 pawed, dishevled looking thing who touches your heart & soul with her sweet stare.  When I got Nutmeg I was suffering from a head injury which left me in a deep depression.  I was on complete brain rest and couldn't do anything but look at the walls or sleep.  From the start she wouldn't leave my side.  She sat on my chest the entire time I was recovering.  The depression dragged on and all the while she stayed near.  She literally saved my life!  Now it's my turn to save hers.

For the past week Nutmeg has been suffering from back pain.  3 trips to the vet have narrowed down the diagnoses to a bulging disc.  Nutmeg cannot live with this injury as it would be much too painful.  She has lost use of her back legs and requires medication to keep comfortable.  She will require surgery that cannot be put off to correct the injury and regain use of her legs.  She is scheduled to see the Neurologist this Wednesday!  I have to work fast to raise funds.

I know that Nutmeg has touched many of your lives and although I hate to ask, I have to set my pride aside and ask for help paying for her surgery.  I've explored every option and I am unable cover such an expensive procedure alone.  Thank you for anything you are able to do.
