Peggy's vetinary bill
Donation protected
Hi Everyone
I'm Naomi (she/her), dog mum of Peggy, 4 year old rescue pug cross boston terrier. Peggy is absolutely the love of my life, my soul dog. She has been admitted into a vetinary hospital last week for some tests having lost her appetite 2 weeks ago and was rapidly losing weight. Anyone who knows Peggy will know how much she loves food so this was quite worrying when she started turning down her favourite meals not not eating for over 24 hours.
Since admission, she has had x-rays, ultrasounds, blood tests, cannulas, a nasalgastric feeding tube, intravenous fluids, a heart echocardiogram, sedation, general anesthetia, and is about to have a biopsy of her stomach. It seems likely she has a chronic inflammatory bowel condition (the biopsy will confirm or give a differential diagnosis) which is common in pugs, which should be easy to manage with diet and medication longer term, so this being the case this will be a relief. However, this is costing a small fortune and am reaching out to friends, family and beyond to ask if anyone can donate some money to help me pay the vetinary bills.
I feel bad putting the page together, as I know times are hard for everyone financially, but Peggy's care is looking to cost double her insurances excess of £4000 (current estimate is (£7500, not including the overnight stay in her local vets). I've seen others put out an appeal like this to help pay for veterinary fees and thought as I have no savings I have nothing to lose. Even if you just share this. I would be so grateful. Thanks so much for taking time to read this and to those of you who have sent their love ❤️
