Honor Fund for Mom (Peggy O'Gorman)

Donation protected
We are raising money for Mom's medical bills and possible final expenses. As most of you know she has had a long fight with her health. From a fall in 1993 that resulted in a broken spine and 3 back surgeries, 3 bouts of cancer, 23 hospitalizations caused by pneumonia, 22 of those where in an 18 month period. Most everyone has been keeping up with the current hospitalization. Mom is on life support and has been for 14 days. Her prognosis is not good at all. From a medical stand point, her body, unfortunately is shutting down. It is not as strong as it has been in the past to continue to fight and have success. We as a family have great hope that there is still a chance for a miracle. We have given the situation to God. Unfortunately things just don't look good. Mom always said she did not want to have to be on life support for an extended amount of time and she also didn't want to have to live the rest of her life having machines live for her. She said if she ever got to the point that she is at now to give her 30 days. Myself along with my father, two brothers, two uncles, one aunt and my grandparents (her parents) sat down and spoke with the doctor. We as a family came to the decision that we feel she is getting very tired and that her body can't handle her current situation. We decided to give it to Friday August 14, 2015 before taking her off of life support. That honors her wishes of 30 days and will help us to prepare for what is to come. We are in need of financial help to pay bills and possible final expenses. We do have pre-arrangements at Mount Olivet. We would need financial help with the remaining costs there which is around the goal I set. Anything that you can do will be much appreciated and you will be blessed for it. We are keeping our heads up and still hoping and praying for her to recover. But we are also praying for God's will and for what is going to be best for her! Everyone that knows Momma, knows what type of strength she had and the fight inside her. Even when life through curve balls, and it through many, she always stayed positive and kept complete faith and trust in God. She made it a goal every day of her life to fill someone elses life with joy and hope. She did an excellent job at it. She never met a stranger and everyone who met her, fell in love with her almost immediately. She has touched a lot of lives with her courage and faith. I myself couldn't ask for a better Mother. She is the best. If I could be a tenth of the person she is, I would have it made in life. I ask you to pray for her and for our family, as we continue on this journey. We thank everyone for all of the prayers and support over the years and especially in these last few weeks. God bless you all.
