Peggy Merkus Recovery Fund

Hello,

My name is Tatiana Cesso, Peggy Merkus' friend, and I'm hoping you can join me in supporting her recovery process.

Peggy is 38 years old and a talented, award winning chef from Suriname. She runs @merkuskitchen, and for years, she has been taking care of her clients and friends, cooking delicious meals for catering and delivery. She is a vibrant, joyful, determined, kind person who has stood up for people in need. At this moment, however, it’s Peggy who needs our help the most.

In 2021, Peggy discovered she had a tumor and had gone through several sessions of chemotherapy since then. During this process, she kept her positivity and strength, still working as much as she could.

Sadly, Peggy recently found out she needs more medical care, and at this time, she has opted for holistic treatment in a clinic in Lantana (FL). She is currently living in Sunrise and needs to go to the clinic once a week by Uber. Although the treatment is less aggressive than chemotherapy, Peggy's weakened state makes it difficult working on a regular basis.

Peggy has no family in the United States and needs financial help to cover her rent, bills, and medical care.

Please help me to raise the money to help Peggy during her recovery process.

She is a young woman who has fought so much already and still has such a bright future ahead of her if she can get this absolutely essential care.

I'm especially calling on the Sunrise Beach Yoga community in Sunny Isles Beach, where I met Peggy over a year ago and have enjoyed beautiful, blessed mornings with this group.

The amount I have set as a goal here would be sufficient to help her for approximately a month or so. Timing is critical as she needs this help immediately, so I have decided to set an amount we can reach fast.
