Hello!

I am very sad to say that i am doing yet another gofundme for Peggy. After raising the money to successfully complete a TECA surgery on her other ear, we are now potentially going to have to fork out another 4-5k for the other one. I am obviously going to contribute as much as i possibly can but every donation makes the world of difference to me i’ve already raised/spent so much on her healthcare so honestly anything is so appreciated

After rescuing Peggy from a neglectful owner whose kids were tormenting and abusing her, i realised something was up with her ear. Unfortunately her ear problems came to a head within the two week cooling off period for my insurance so I tried to give Peggy a second chance at life by raising the money for her first ear surgery. After successfully raising 7k, we went through with the surgery and she was living happily until about a week ago.

A week ago she was sick, and then sick again so we took her to the vets on Saturday when she started trembling. The vet thought it could be a blockage so gave her an ultrasound, blood tests and a load of other stuff that racked up to about £1800 as it was out of hours.

When i got Peggy back, she was not the same dog as before. She was disorientated, eyes rolling back in her head, extremely lethargic and unresponsive. I was obviously very concerned but the vet said it was just a reaction to the medication and it would wear off. A day later she still hasn’t recovered and the symptoms are pretty much the same. I took her back to the vets and they said as symptoms haven’t improved it is unlikely to be a reaction to the meds and more like a middle ear infection which can also cause the sickness. The vets are trying to get it under control themselves but if they can’t we will need to get a referral which is the extra pricey bit so i’m just seeing what my options are and trying to pre-emptively raise some money to help us along the process. Whether we need to get the referral or not, the proceeds will go to Peggy. If she has to be put to sleep, we will pay myself back what i can out of what i have spent and donate the rest to a similar cause.

Due to the first surgery being an existing condition, I am unlikely to be able to receive insurance cover for the care. The vet said it is likely to be declined, but we will try anyway of course
