My name is Neile and Peggy and Florence are my 2 beautiful babies. I am so lucky to be their mum have always done all I can to keep them happy and healthy.
I have been battling severe rheumatoid arthritis for around 10 years now. A few years ago my mum died and I had a bad car accident. I found myself alone in a City where I knew no one in the middle of Covid. That’s when Peggy came into my life, an angel sent from above. 2 years later, I got myself back to work part-time and we welcomed the mischievous little Florence into our lives.
In 2024, I lost my training post due to ill health but managed to keep us going by locuming when I could. Unfortunately, in October 2024, I had a severe asthma attack and was admitted with sepsis twice, all within a 3 week period. In May 2025, I was made homeless and am currently residing in supported accommodation for people in danger of becoming homeless. Most of my stuff is currently in storage and I have no car or money to get anything out. Sadly, I was too weak and ill to sort out any benefits until August 2025 and the amount I get is not enough to live on. When I moved into the homeless shelter, I had very little, however, I had some unclaimed tax rebates so I was able to get us most of the essentials. After running on fumes for a couple of months, I am now in desperate need of help. I use food banks and bills/debts consume all of my mone. The dogs have adapted wonderfully and I’m really proud of them. They get plenty of walks and I think they’re pretty happy that they get even more quality time with their mum. It has taken a long time for my health to recover but I’m finally starting to think about going back to work, although it won’t be for a while yet. If we receive any donations, I plan to set up a new bank account, dedicated purely to Peggy and Florence. They have brought so much love and happiness into my life, I want to make sure I’ve done everything I can to give them what they need.
I have made a list of what the money would be spent on:
Dry food (Ok for now)
Wet food (Ok until 24/11)
Treats
Poo bags (Ok for now)
Puppy pads (Ok for now)
Flea treatment (Covered until 01/12)
Worm treatment (Covered until 01/04)
Vaccinations (Due 28/11)
Prebiotics (Covered until 01/02)
Dental powder (Need)
Emergency vet visits
6 x blankets (so can put current in wash)
2 x harnesses and leads (current need to go in wash desperately!)
2 x waterproof collars
2 x waterproof coats (URGENT)
2 x cheap towels
Post-surgery vests (Spayed 17/11 & 19/12)
Waterproof dog walking bag
Torch
My sister has been helping me by doing a wash for me and returning it a couple of weeks later. I do not have a clothes horse yet so even if I am well enough to wash their blankets and harnesses, it won’t be a quick turn around, hence, needing a spare set.
I am happy to answer any questions anyone has and I know Peggy and Florence will be extremely grateful for any help you can send us.
Lots of love,
Neile, Peggy & Florence
