Peggy Dunford's husband, Bob, is raising money to fund this awards & scholarship association to recognize the best that is inherent in us all and to honor the memory of his wife, Peggy Dunford. If you have warm memories of your relationship with Miss Peg, please consider this.
April 27, 2020:
Dear friends, relations & business associates of Peggy:
On this day in 1958 a child was born in Brockton. Nothing out of the ordinary then. However, Margaret Dunford grew up to be someone with a rare and selfless gift. She was able, in some small way, to enrich the lives of those with whom she had contact. Peg had that knack. Peg had that superpower. Peg could bring a smile to anyone’s face. With a few words of encouragement or gentle direction, Peg could make one feel better and elevate one’s everyday game. And usually without any foofaraw or fanfare.
In honor of what would’ve been Peg’s fifty-twelfth birthday and in loving memory of her, let’s all take a moment & in some way try to be a little like her. I think she'd like that.
In Peg’s memory, I’ve started an award/scholarship thing. I’ve created a 501 3 c organization called the Peggy Dunford Social Citizenship Association. We’ve followed the rules and established a 501 c 3 organization for this purpose.
For the 3rd year, this organization is awarding “the Peggy Dunford Social Citizenship Award” in my school and now at her alma mater, Brockton High School. At each, a deserving student who exemplifies those qualities that Peg personified will be nominated and selected by his teachers. We’d like these awards to be on-going.
The award is intended for someone who perseveres quietly, with focus, drive, and a goal in mind. Someone who may not be publicly recognized but who nonetheless strides on, helping folks along the way. Someone who pitches in with common activities but often may be found in the 2nd row of the photo. And, of course, someone who may have a unique style & flair.
This takes more funding than I, my friends and my colleagues can underwrite ourselves. We are at 50% of our goal, and I am reaching out to you all, Peg’s associates, friends, colleagues, and relatives to pitch in and help underwrite this most worthy association on the occasion of her fifty-twelfth birthday. This GoFundMe account has been established to accept your donations. Here’s the link:

Please let’s honor her life and memory in this simple way. Please share this with your friends, relatives, associates & colleagues. Your support is greatly appreciated. I am able to also accept checks, paypal or venmo.
If anyone needs further information / clarification please PM me…
Thanks, Bob,
