Our mom, Peggy Bambino, was rushed to the hospital on 12/22 with what we thought were chest pains. At the hospital the doctors determined she needed to be transported, by helicopter, for emergency surgery in Florence, SC to repair a tear in her esophagus.
Since 12/23 she has had multiple surgeries/procedures. None have been successful as of yet. She is fighting major infection and is currently in the ICU in Florence waiting to be transported to another hospital, one that specializes in this unique type of surgery.
The medical bills are incredibly high, even with insurance. Our stepfather, Dennis, has taken time off from his job to be with mom. As a result he does not have any income coming in. Please help us take some pressure off of this stressful situation and allow her to focus on the difficult journey she has ahead.
