Help My Dad, A U.S. Marine, Fight Cancer & Heal
Hi everyone,
My name is Maddie Spring, and I’m reaching out in one of the hardest moments of my life. My dad, Jeff Spring, is not just my father—he’s my best friend, my biggest supporter, and the strongest person I know. He’s a U.S. Marine, a single father, and the kind of man who has always put others before himself. But now, he’s facing a battle that even the toughest fighters can’t take on alone.
In December, my dad fractured his spine. The pain was unbearable, but what we didn’t know was that it was cancer eating away at his bones. In February, he was diagnosed with Stage 2 Multiple Myeloma, and our world turned upside down.
Since then, he’s been in and out of the hospital—enduring agonizing treatments, complications from chemotherapy, and now a perforated intestine that requires urgent surgery. Soon, he’ll have to adjust to life with an ostomy bag, all while wearing a back brace for his fractured spine. He hasn’t been able to work, and now he’s facing the terrifying possibility of losing his health insurance while medical bills keep piling up.
I’ve watched my dad endure so much pain—more than anyone should have to. And the hardest part? He’s going through it alone. My grandparents aren’t nearby, and I’m doing everything I can to help, but I’m also in the middle of my graduate school clinical rotations. I feel helpless, and I know I can’t do this by myself.
That’s why I’m here—asking for help in any way you can give it. Every donation, no matter the size, will go directly toward his medical expenses, basic living costs, and the care he desperately needs. If you can’t donate, please share this—it would mean the world to us.
From the bottom of my heart, thank you for reading, for caring, and for supporting my dad in his toughest fight yet.
With love,
Maddie & Jeff Spring
