Hit and Run, please help!

My name is Barbara Shamaly, and I am fundraising for my husband, Mark Shamaly. On Friday, April 8th, 2022, at approximately 5:45 am, while on his way to work, Mark pulled over on the Everett Turnpike in Merrimack, NH, to help another vehicle involved in an accident. While walking over to the other vehicle, Mark was run down by another driver, leaving him with life-threatening injuries. Due to the severity of the hit and how far he was thrown, Mark sustained numerous internal injuries, including head trauma, a broken shoulder and pelvis, and numerous shattered ribs that punctured his lung, liver, and aorta where this injury needed to be stented. The automobile driver did flee the scene, leaving my husband lying on the side of the highway, not knowing if he was dead or alive. Good fortune prevailed when a DOT worker who witnessed the accident stopped and helped my husband, literally saving his life. Thankfully, we are being told by the doctors that Mark will survive!!! However, Mark faces a very long, painful and difficult road ahead of him and will be out of work for an extensive amount of time. My and Mark's family, aside from being worried, sick and heartbroken, thought how heartless and cruel someone could be to do this to such a wonderful, kindhearted man. Watching this man suffer significantly for doing a good deed is so inhumane. Unfortunately, due to Mark being the only one working due to my own medical needs, I will be having difficulty keeping up with the medical bills and traveling expenses going back and forth from NH to Boston.
