Hi my name is Robin Hankinson. I am a neighbor of the Peel Family.
James,Danielle and their three young children,to say the least have been through the worst any family can go through. James went in for brain cancer surgery. During that time there were several complications including not removing all of the tumor as well as James had several seizures. While in recovery it was determined that James had also lost the ability to use his right side. After three days James started saying words. It looked like James was on the road to recovery then the bottom fell out from under this amazing family again. James developed high fevers and one of his lung collapsed and James had a perforation on his colon. So back into surgery again. Surgery was a success James had 5 holes in is colon and air in his lung.
Complication arose and James was put on life support.
********Coming Home********
James has come off life support and after several weeks has been released to his home. James will need surgeries in the near future.
James, Danielle and the three children have been through a traumatic time. Nothing anyone let alone them expected. James arrived home a couple of days ago. This is going to be a long road for this family.
****The Family****
This family is amazing. James has helped anyone and everyone he has met. There is no thinking about helping people he just does it. His wife is the same. Danielle as well as James are such an important part of this community and both their jobs tells you they are. It is time for my, our, their community to come together and help them with the financial help they desperately need. Danielle needs to return to work and James can’t stay home alone. The expenses are not covered under insurance and everything will and need to be paid out of pocket.
