On May 30th, Kevan Pedrow was hospitalized for liver and kidney failure. Kevan spent over 2 weeks in the hospital and then another week in a medical care center. He was able to go home for 2 days, then rushed back to the hospital where he is currently. His wife, Vera Pedrow, has stayed by his side not knowing when or if she will be able to take her husband home. They are facing a long road to recovery.
As a community of family and friends, we know medical costs can be overwhelming and the burden of the costs while caring for your loved one is unbearable. We are trying to help ease some of the burden off of the Pedrow family's shoulders by asking for any contribution you are able to make. Any and all efforts to help Kevan, Vera, and their girls get through this difficult time would be appreciated.
July 6th Kevan and Vera were flown to The University of Texas Southwestern in Dalls, Texas hoping to get the much needed liver. Kevan has been on a roller coaster since they arrived with Vera by his side every minute. Many of you have asked how you can help. I think the waiting and lack of consistent progress has been the hardest part. At this point my biggest concern is the cost of lodging. In order to be close to Kevan they have to stay near the medical center. There are several motels in the area but they are pricey, even with the hospital discount. If we can all chip in I think it would relieve a lot of the burden. I have a connection that is standing by with other lodging options if it gets to that point but for now the family wants to be as close to Kevan as possible. Vera is a strong woman of faith who believes in the power of prayer. Your prayers have lifted and comforted her more than you'll ever know. Thank you so much!
