Dear friends and family,
Many of you know my son, Pedro — a kind, creative, and sensitive young man who has been quietly battling a painful and recurring condition called a pilonidal cyst for the past 4 to 5 years.
For those unfamiliar, a pilonidal cyst develops when hair embeds beneath the skin near the base of the spine, often leading to severe infection and chronic pain. Pedro has endured countless rounds of antibiotics and even underwent surgery a couple of years ago. Sadly, the cyst returned, this time more aggressively, leaving him in constant pain and discomfort.
The condition has deeply affected his quality of life. Holding down jobs has become nearly impossible, and the emotional and psychological toll has been immense. It breaks my heart to say that Pedro is now struggling with his mental health and has lost hope in his future.
We’ve found a specialist who offers a procedure that could finally give Pedro a real chance at healing — but it isn’t covered by the NHS. This operation could restore not just his physical health, but also his confidence, dignity, and hope.
That’s why I’m reaching out to you now. This fundraiser is not only about covering the costs of surgery — it's about showing Pedro that he’s not alone. That his life matters. That God still has a beautiful plan for him, and that a community can rally around one of its own when it truly counts.
Whatever you feel led to give, no matter the amount, will make a difference. If you’re unable to give financially, your prayers and words of encouragement are just as valuable.
With all my heart — thank you.
Let’s help Pedro take the first step toward healing and a brighter future.
Yours,
Andy
