Pedro Alcove Busboy

Hi, this is Maria and Jonathan, owners of The Alcove Restaurant in Sunnyside, Queens, NY. We are fundraising for Pedro, who this community knows as one of the most genuinely kind and compassionate individuals and workers here at the restaurant.

Pedro was involved in a hit and run accident while he was riding his bike home after work on the night of October 8th.

Due to his injuries he spent well over a month at NY Presbyterian Hospital in Queens. This ordeal has left him with broken ribs, a broken heel and a broken sternum. In addition, he received emergency surgery on his spine to ensure future mobility.

We are beyond blessed to say that the surgery and all medical procedures went extremely well and Pedro is recovering slowly.

In the months since his accident we have worked closely with his family to ensure that their needs are met while allowing time to gather all the necessary documents and information needed to properly set up this fundraiser and get Pedro the help he really needs.

Pedro is the only one who supports his wife and three children.

We are kindly asking for any support possible to help him and his family with medical expenses, physical therapy, recovery and general household expenses until he is able to get back on his feet and live life normally.

Anyone who has met Pedro knows he is a special person, and a very special part of our alcove family/community.

Any gesture of help would be much appreciated for this incredible human being.

Due to certain legalities, we cannot link this fundraiser directly to Pedro's account, so we have been instructed to set this up for Pedro in our own names (Maria, Jonathan).

Because of this, we are only allowed to raise $15K each.

Should we be blessed enough to reach our $15K goal for this fundraiser, we will start another one immediately after to get as much help as we possibly can for Pedro .

Any assistance, even the smallest amount with go a long way in our efforts to help Pedro & his family!

All proceeds will be given to Pedro and his family.
