ALL THE GEAR AND NO IDEA....
On Friday 31st of August we are going to pull on those padded shorts, tighten the flattering helmets and get on our bikes to cycle from the London Eye to the Eiffel Tower in 3 days! It’s over 250km so we’re expecting lots of blood, sweat and inevitable tears, but hey - it’s all in aid of an amazing cause.
We are riding to support the communities of Uganda’s Rwenzori region. Over the last 10 years TJX has developed a sustainable trade programme investing in community infrastructure to help the local people produce better quality and higher yields on a range of fabulous products through 4 trades; crafts, cotton, cocoa and coffee. This helps parents to increase their incomes so that they can afford to send their children to school. TJX has been renting a centre where producers meet, crafts are collected and packed for shipping, and training is run. However, we want to enhance the amazing progress they have already made and establish a permanent base for the efforts.
So, please show your support for your merchandising representatives. We are not cyclists. We are amateurs.... but your donations and generosity will make it all worthwhile. Help us smash our target and show the love for us and our poor legs, while supporting our amazing partnership in Uganda.
