This year, I'm leveling up my urban cycling by riding with the Riverside Park Conservancy team in the TD Five Boro Bike Tour!
The Conservancy is a passionate grassroots organization transforming the six miles of Riverside Park, from new gardens and sports fields to major horticultural restorations. With a strong focus on equity for the communities it serves, their programs blend community action and neighborhood stewardship.
As one of Manhattan’s largest contiguous green spaces, the park is a vital lifeline for Upper West Side, Hamilton Heights, and Harlem residents.
For me, it’s personal: the park’s old-growth tulip trees, prime hawk-watching spots, and car-free Empire State Trail section right here in NYC have become my favorite escapes. It’s the perfect starting gate for biking the Hudson Valley, the Palisades, and upstate rail trails.
I’m aiming to raise $500 to directly fund community programs and park beautification projects. Every contribution—big or small—helps keep this green oasis thriving for all New Yorkers. Will you join me in supporting Riverside Park?
