Pedal Power for Jessica
Jessica is a single mom who has lived through difficult times but has worked hard to get where she is today.
For the last 3 years Jessica has been riding her bicycle to and from work. She lives in Turlock CA and works in Denair CA these rides take her from 30 to 40 minutes each way. She rides on Hot-Sticky days, Bone-Chilling-Cold days and Wet-Drizzly days. Sometimes she has to leave at 5 am, in the winter months it is dark at that hour. On her late nights she pedals home at 10:30 pm, again in the dark. There have been times on her way home at night that she feels afraid and unsafe, and has even had people follow her.
A while back I asked Jessica how she rides her bike to and from work day after day after day? Her response was “When I feel like I can’t do it any more... I think of my daughter and I do it for her so we can have a home and food and the things we need”.
Our desire is to raise money to buy Jessica an E-Bike (electric bike) as soon as possible. An E-Bike will help get her to and from work faster, easier, and safer!

We have added $500 to the amount we are trying to raise. We would like to get 1 year of insurance for Jessica's E-Bike.
