Pedal for Progress: Help Us Beat Leukemia

I am Tim O'Brien from Waverly, Iowa.

I am raising funds for Cure Leukemia as part of my commitment to participate in The Tour de France 2025 with Tour 21. I had to ask twice... "I have been selected to ride the TOUR de FRANCE route in 2025?" (one week ahead of the professional riders).

Tour 21 selects twenty-five riders from around the world to ride the Tour. The costs for my participation are $10,000, which I am fully funding with my own resources. I also agreed to raise $30,000 for Cure Leukemia, a charity based in the United Kingdom.

I would appreciate any donations towards my 30k goal, and all proceeds will be forwarded to Cure Leukemia charity.

Personally, for me this started as a cycling challenge and a biking friend that has been affected by leukaemia. Two short weeks later, I have met four other families affected by this dreaded disease. I am now focused on helping them with a new understanding of the importance of this million-dollar fundraiser (team overall goal).

DAVE, son (Benjamin) was diagnosed at nine months, sadly lost his battle at four and a half years old.

JOE, diagnosed in 2020 at 65 with Chronic Myeloid Luekaemia, treating with medication.

It has been an emotional journey for me, my heart breaks for every one of these stories. I will carry them with me on every mile of the Tour. When the riding gets challenging, I will look to them for strength to complete the day.
