Dear Friends, Family, and Champions of Peace,
Thirty years ago, I set out on a bicycle with a bold vision —some said quixotic— to spark peace, through personal connection. My project, Pedal For Peace, wasn’t about solving the world’s conflicts— it was about planting seeds through small acts, like carrying postcards from one stranger to another, creating pen pals across the countries I traveled through. I rode thousands of miles, spoke to school kids and civic groups, and shared stories of hope on radio and TV. Then, in Florence, Italy, a semi-truck accident stopped my wheels, leaving hundreds of postcards undelivered. Those cards have stayed with me, a symbol of a mission I’m determined to complete.
Now, at the 30-year anniversary on June 3, 2025, I’m shifting gears; from riding to writing Pedal For Peace, a memoir about that journey, the lessons of faith and resilience, and why peace matters more than ever. This isn’t just a book—it’s a call to believe in possibility, to work for peace with discipline, and to embrace life’s unexpected turns. My goal is to publish this story with a traditional publishing house, sharing its message with readers worldwide.
I need your help to make this dream a reality. I’m raising $6,000 to fund professional editing, a polished book proposal, and marketing efforts to attract a publisher and build buzz for Pedal For Peace. These steps are crucial to stand out in the competitive publishing world and ensure the book reaches its full potential. Your support will also help revive the postcard mission, inviting readers to send messages of peace today.
By backing this campaign, you’re joining a movement to show that peace transcends politics. Every pledge brings us closer to sharing this story—and its hope—with the world.
Please pledge today, share this campaign on Facebook, and help me pedal this mission forward. Together, we can deliver those postcards and inspire small acts of connection that ripple outward. Thank you for believing in Pedal For Peace.
With hope and gratitude,
