After an amazing season of competitions, we qualified for the 2026 VEX V5 World Championship Middle School Competition. We are Jacob and Renaud, 8th graders in Lower Merion and VEX team 19072B Viseron. Last year was our first year of VEX and we fell in love with the building, coding and competition. When the year ended, we set a goal to build the best robot, win competitions and awards and ultimately make it into the 2026 World Championship. Starting last May, we put in countless hours of hard work, effort and dedication to do just that.
Despite a slow start in our 1st three tournaments, we endured and won the 4th tournament at Black Rock Middle School along with the coveted Excellence Award. This marked the 2nd time in our school's history where a team had gotten these two awards. We have won a total of 6 awards including the 1st ever Spirit Award at our second tournament. Our high Skills score is what qualified us to get into Worlds.
Now that we have made it to the World Championship we need you! Our school has funded most of our tournaments this year but they don’t cover the entrance fee to Worlds. Our VEX Robotics budget has also been exhausted and the costs are high. Not only do we need to pay for the competition registration fee, there are also costs for travel equipment and cases, flights, hotel rooms and more.
This has been our dream all year and with your help, we hope to raise enough money so that we can fulfill it.
