Hi there!

I'm Sassy. And I just got adopted and found my "Furever Home" with this great family, along with my obnoxious BIG brother. I've only been here 11 days and I love it already. I'm a Tiny Silver Tabby with the cutest eyes ever! I won the hearts of everyone the minute they saw me. They call me the "Sweeties Kitten Ever", but I lick myself and don't think I'm sweet at all.

Anyhoo! Mom noticed I kind of breath fast when I sleep. And I sleep a LOT! Then she noticed my chest looked different when I was jumping up to play with my brother. She got very worried. So as soon as she could, she took me to see our new Doctor. He was very nice. But he told Mom and Dad I have something called "Pectus Excavatum". The Doctor said it means my ribs curve into my chest and make it harder for me to breath and eat. That's why I'm so Tiny! And it can also mean that I will be sick all the time or maybe not live as long. Now that's Scary!!

Now Mom is REALLY worried about me. Dad is too, but he is worried about how to pay for the treatment I'll need. Treats and Pets are all the payment I've ever needed, but he thinks, that isn't going to work this time.

I am growing. Slowly. But the more I grow, the harder it will be for me to breath and eat. So I'll need to see a lot more doctors very soon. And I need to grow more, so I can keep up with my Big brother.

Mom has been on the phone to Doctors around the area and is looking for Just the right one to help me. One of them told her it would be over $700 dollars just to get a consultation and something called an "Ultrasound". If dollars are anything like treats, that's a lot of them! And then I'll also need to have an operation to put a splint on me that will fix my chest, and lots of visits to the doctors for several weeks to make sure my splint is helping me getting better. I think they are going to need some help finding a lot more dollars. Even more the 700. But until I get to go in for my Consultation and Ultrasound, Mom and Dad won't know how many more dollars.

They could really use the help. Mom is home all day with my brother and me. She isn't working right now because she has something wrong with her legs. So she has to go to see doctors too. Dad is working very hard. I help him take naps on the couch after he gets home from work. He likes naps almost as much as I do.

I hope you can help Mom and Dad find some dollars. I'd gladly give up my treats and maybe even a few pets if I could. Mom and Dad would give anything to help someone else in need. This time, they are the ones that need the help. As soon as they can find dollars, I can go see the Doctors that can help me get better.
