Michael is our dear friend ,loving father, loving husband and decorated police officer. He is diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukemia on Feb 22, 2019 .
Five days prior , he went to doctor for fever and cough. He was told he has lower respiratory infection and was given medications. He wasn’t getting any better and on february 21, decided to go to another doctor. They did a chest X-ray and blood test. He wasn’t getting enough oxygen , they found pneumonia and his plaelet counts 25, normal is 400. He was then transferred to Carilion Roanoke Memorial for bone marrow biopsy. It’s when he found out about his leukemia. He will be undergoing intensive chemotherapy treatments for the next month and will be living at the hospital for the duration. He has currently no income to limited income . He also doesn't have health insurance to cover his medical expenses
If you’ve ever met Michael , there’s a chance that you really like him. He’s stubborn, but extremely kind and generous. He can talk your ear off for hours or just listen when he needs to. He’s pretty great.
We are looking for all generous friends and family to step up and help them through this trying time.We’re asking for your help to cover his medical expenses and really appreciate anything that you can offer.
