Meet Pebbles, a 10 month old kitten who's short life has been filled with unimaginable hardships while fighting for survival on the streets. Without a home, he tried to find safety to no avail and was viciously attacked by another animal, leaving him with severe injuries that require urgent medical care. With no family to care for him, a good samaritan and his 2 year old daughter (who gave Pebbles his name) saw his injuries and proceeded to bring Pebbles to 3 different veterinary facilities before finding someone willing to work with Pebbles and his injuries. Pebbles has an abdominal hernia that requires surgery and a degloving injury to his tail which has left bone exposed for the last 7 days, this will also need to be addressed surgically with a partial amputation. Despite his tough beginnings, this little cat's spirit remains strong and gentle, and with the right help, he has the potential to heal and thrive. However, the cost of the necessary treatments is far beyond what his good samaritian can afford. The treating veterinarian who works closely with a local rescue, Caring Fields Felines, reached out to the rescue director who offered to use their emergency fund in order to get Pebbles scheduled for surgery the next morning- but unfortunately the funds are not enough.

This sweet cat, with his gentle eyes and quiet demeanor, is simply longing for a second chance at life. He’s endured so much already—lost and alone, he’s had to fight for every scrap of food and every moment of safety. Yet through it all, he remains kind-hearted, never giving up on the hope of finding love and care. He wants nothing more than to curl up in a warm, safe space, and learn what familial love feels like.
